Reflection & Review 3

Time flies. Half of semester passed and it's time to review the Statement of goal and activity.

Goal.

To be able to understand spoken Japanese with normal speed and medium length.
For polite speech, it seems ok for me to follow the normal-speed one. But the causal speech, based on the performance in dict-conversation, more practice is necessary.

To be able to speak Japanese with correct pronunciation and pitch in medium speed and medium length. Put more attention on accuracy.
Since speaking is always a weakness, more practice should be done. Since there is not too much chance to speak out of class, PE practice becomes important, and it should be enhanced further.

To be able to communicate with people with daily-life topics under daily-life environment.
Seems polite speech is ok, although sometime I might jam myself. Causal speech is still a problem.

To be able to understand written Japanese in long length. To be able to write medium length passage in Japanese.
Reading and writing seems more easier than speaking and listening.

Activity.

Review vocabulary every day.
Almost, hope to keep going.

Shadow the material on SE twice a week.
Almost. But in spring vacation, people became lazy...

Read extra reading material everyday (another textbook, news in Japanese, lyrics, etc.).
Didn't make a good work on this aspect. I'm considering replace this one with more operable one. But not figure out yet.

日本の印象（七）

銀閣寺の隣に、この「哲学の道」がある。日本の有名な哲学者西田幾多郎がよくこの通り道で散歩して考えしたので散歩しながら、考えたので、ここの名前は「哲学の道」になった。ここは商業街じゃないか、全然旅行の所じゃなさそうだ商業街でもなけねば、旅行の所でもない。一般の宅地だけど、特別な気持ち空気がある。静かな所がは何処にでもあるけど、旅人が来て来ると、静かな所は賑やかになる。でも、ここは違う。ここに来て、旅人の心は静かになる旅人はここに来ても、心は静かになったんだ。宗教の感じがもない、厳しい感じもない、ただ平和的な日常の気持ちだ。この空気に、どうな哲学は誕生した生み出した？気になった。

面白い装飾だね。

乗りたいけど、高い。あのお嬢さんは綺麗だ…

神隠しの宅。

子供の簡単な遊園地。

今日の口述試験の感じが悪かった。

緩くて優しい音楽を聞いて、反省する…

日常（四）

プリンストンは冬が寒いです。寒い風は吹いて、大きい雪は降ります。不便だけど、綺麗です。真夜中二時ぐらい実験室から寮に帰って、傘がないので一人で雪の中で歩きました。静かな真夜だから、自分の心拍と積もった雪の上で歩いた音お聞いて、寒い感じは心の底から漸く伸ばしました、体は寒くなかったけど。大きい雪は覆うので、ここで寂しく死ぬとこを誰も知らないと思いました。

でも、それは綺麗ではないですか。病床よりここの方がよくではないですか。

日本の印象（六）

銀閣寺の庭はとても有名です。いろいろな層にいろいろな緑があります。鶸萌黄の苔が地面にあって、緑青の藻が池にあって、青碧の潅木が丘にあって、萌黄の木が小さい山にあります。緑の庭を見て、銀閣寺の春と秋と冬の景色を見たいと思いました。多分赤色と白色になりますね。銀閣寺の外は賑やかですけど、庭に入って、気持ちは静かになりました、そして歩調も緩慢になりました。

可愛い苔です。

願望がたくさんある池。でも神様はその願望を聞きましたか。

Here is the gold and activity statement of my Japanese study in this semester based on the one from last semester.

Goal.

箸

昨日の授業で日本の箸の文化を勉強するしたので、このビデオを考えました。

先生はいろいろ箸のルールを述べリました述べました。例えば、「ご飯の上に入れる」は「死人のご飯」という意味ですから、食事でこれをするなしないて。そして、「食品に刺さるな」や「他の人の箸から食品を取るな」と言いました。実際に、中国にもいろいろな箸のルールがあって、同じのがたくさんあります。

でもいつも一人で食事をするので、そのルールをあまり心配しません…
